Apollo 14 'Moon Tree' at Johnson Space Center

A tree on the grounds of NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center was grown from seeds that flew aboard Apollo 14. Astronaut Stuart Roosa carried seeds in 1971; the seeds were later germinated and distributed to sites around the United States in 1975–1976 as part of the 'Moon Trees' project. The Johnson Space Center Moon Tree is documented in NASA historical materials and stands as a living commemoration of the Apollo program.
