Presidential Office Building, Taipei

The Presidential Office Building in Taipei serves as the official workplace of the President of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Constructed between 1912 and 1919 during Japanese rule, this Baroque-style structure originally housed the Governor-General's Office. It has a rich history, having been damaged during World War II and later restored. The building became the Presidential Office in 1950 after the ROC relocated to Taiwan following the Chinese Civil War.
