Northwest African American Museum (NAAM)

The Northwest African American Museum, located in the historic Colman School building, documents and interprets the history, culture, and community contributions of African Americans in the Pacific Northwest. The museum opened in its current location in 2008 and hosts rotating exhibitions, public programs, and educational initiatives focused on regional Black experiences. NAAM also preserves archival materials and oral histories relevant to Seattle's African American communities.
