UNLV archaeological research and fieldwork programs

Faculty and students from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Department of Anthropology have conducted archaeological fieldwork, survey, and analysis on sites in the Las Vegas Valley and nearby areas, participating in excavations and research projects that include Pleistocene and Holocene localities. UNLV serves as a regional center for archaeological research, training, and curation of research collections associated with those investigations. The university has offered field schools and published reports on local archaeological projects.
