Oaks II

Oaks II is a historic house located in Laytonsville, Maryland, built between 1797 and 1814. This charming 1+1⁄2-story gambrel-roofed log house features an adjoining one-story gable-roofed log addition. It is notable for its long association with the Riggs family, influential figures in Montgomery County's civic and agricultural history. The property, which includes several relocated outbuildings from the original Riggs Farm, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
