Larkin-Rice House

The Larkin-Rice House, located at 180 Middle Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is a historic home built around 1813-15, showcasing Federal period architecture. Notable for its five Palladian windows and classical detailing, this three-story brick structure features a symmetrical facade and retains many original interior elements. Built by auctioneer Samuel Larkin, the house reflects the wealth generated during the War of 1812. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
