Mission San José - Rose Window and restored mission compound

Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo, established in 1720 and rebuilt in the 1760s, is known for its ornate carved limestone 'Rose Window' and for being the largest and most complex of the San Antonio missions. The mission compound underwent significant restoration in the 20th century and is preserved within San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. It is also included in the San Antonio UNESCO World Heritage Site listing.
