Friendship Fountain - once billed as among the world's largest fountains

Friendship Fountain, located on the St. Johns River waterfront in downtown Jacksonville, opened in 1965 and was widely promoted at the time as one of the world's largest and most powerful fountains; its principal jets were reported to reach heights of around 120 feet. The fountain is a prominent riverfront landmark that has undergone restoration projects and remains a visible demonstration of large-scale public fountain engineering within an urban river setting. It sits adjacent to Museum Circle and the Southbank riverwalk area.
