Vegas Vic neon cowboy sign on Fremont Street

Vegas Vic is a large neon cowboy sign installed on the Pioneer Club building on Fremont Street in 1951 and produced by the Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO); the sign became an iconic symbol of downtown Las Vegas. The animated sign includes a waving arm and historically displayed a neon "Howdy" message, and it has been a frequent subject of photographs and local commentary.
