Steine House

Steine House, located in the heart of Brighton, East Sussex, is a historic site that once served as the residence of Maria Fitzherbert, the first wife of the Prince Regent. Designed by architect William Porden in 1804, the building showcases a blend of architectural styles, although its original features have been altered over the years. After Fitzherbert's death in 1837, the house transitioned through various uses, ultimately becoming part of the Brighton YMCA in 1884. Today, it provides housing for vulnerable individuals while maintaining its historical significance, having been listed as Grade II by English Heritage.
