Museum of the American Revolution - houses George Washington’s field headquarters tent

The Museum of the American Revolution, which opened in 2017, preserves and displays the surviving 18th‑century field headquarters tent used by General George Washington during the Philadelphia campaign of 1777–78. The tent functioned as Washington’s mobile office and sleeping quarters and is a centerpiece artifact in the museum’s collection. The museum presents artifacts, documents, and immersive exhibits that interpret the political, military, and social history of the Revolutionary era.
