Tower Building (Little Rock, Arkansas)

The Tower Building is an iconic eighteen-story skyscraper located at 323 Center Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Completed in 1960, it was the tallest building in the state at the time and marked a significant advancement in architectural design as the first use of composite steel frame construction in Arkansas. Designed by notable architects F. Eugene Withrow and Harold A. Berry in the International style, the building features striking curtain walls of windows on its north and south sides, while its east and west facades are characterized by blank brick walls. The elevator tower prominently projects from the southern facade. In recognition of its historical significance, the Tower Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in architectural history.
