Austin Hewitt Home

The Austin Hewitt Home is a historic mansion located in Pulaski, Tennessee, originally built in 1839 in the Greek Revival style. It served as the Pulaski Female Academy from 1832 to 1852 and was later the residence of several prominent families until it became a refuge for indigent women in 1924, funded by philanthropist Austin Hewitt. Today, it operates as a retirement home and is recognized for its historical significance, having been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1984.
