Naval Training Center San Diego (now Liberty Station)

The former Naval Training Center San Diego served as a major Navy recruit training and support facility through much of the 20th century before its closure in 1997 under BRAC. The base's historic brick barracks, parade grounds, and administrative buildings were retained during redevelopment into Liberty Station, a mixed-use campus. Several historic structures within the campus now house shops, restaurants, arts organizations, and the Liberty Public Market.
