Buckhorn Saloon & Texas Ranger Museum

The Buckhorn Saloon & Texas Ranger Museum on East Houston Street displays a large collection of mounted wildlife, horns, and Texas Ranger memorabilia assembled over more than a century. The Buckhorn collection traces its origins to Albert Friedrich, who opened the original Buckhorn saloon in 1881; the museum preserves and exhibits that historic collection.
