Hudaydun

Hudaydun, also known as Khirbat Hudaydun, is a fascinating Late Ottoman rural estate located on the coastal plain near Caesarea Maritima and Pardes Hanna in the Haifa Subdistrict. Established in the late 19th century, it was part of the Bosnian Muslim resettlement initiative. The site features remnants from various historical periods, including Byzantine pottery and architectural remains, showcasing a blend of ancient and Ottoman influences. Visitors can explore the remains of a two-storied farmhouse, orchards, and a small Muslim cemetery, all set in a picturesque landscape. Excavations have revealed the integration of earlier Byzantine ruins into the estate's construction, making it a unique point of interest for both tourists and researchers interested in the region's diverse history.
