Bluebird Theater (early-20th-century neighborhood theater)

The Bluebird Theater, located on East Colfax at 3317 E Colfax Ave, opened in 1913 as a neighborhood movie house. The brick façade and much of the venue's historic character have been preserved through restorations, and the space now operates as a longstanding live-music and performance venue. The Bluebird illustrates the form and civic role of early-20th-century neighborhood theaters in Denver.
