El Barco, Alicante

El Barco, also known as Torre Vistamar de la Albufereta, is a striking residential apartment tower located in Albufereta, Alicante, Spain. Completed in 1963 and designed by architect Juan Guardiola, the building features a unique boat-shaped floor plan and an eye-catching lattice-work facade. Originally built for 'Pied-Noirs' residents during Francoist Spain, El Barco stands at 111 meters, making it the second tallest building in Alicante. Its distinctive design, inspired by Milan's Pirelli Tower, and its historical significance make it a notable landmark for tourists and researchers alike.
