Lisbon Harbor Control Tower

The Lisbon Harbour Control Tower is a striking 38-meter-tall structure located at the end of an artificial peninsula in Lisbon, Portugal. Designed by Gonçalo Sousa Byrne, this ultramodern tower features a unique tilt towards the harbor, resembling a contemporary lighthouse. Its lower section is crafted from horizontally placed copper, while the upper three stories are made of glass, creating a stunning visual contrast. Inaugurated on July 16, 2001, the tower has garnered recognition, winning the First Prize at the TECU Architecture Awards in 2003, making it a noteworthy landmark for tourists and architecture enthusiasts alike.
