Kings County (Brooklyn) District Attorney - Conviction Review Unit

The Kings County District Attorney's Conviction Review Unit evaluates claims of wrongful conviction and re-examines evidence in older cases, including past homicide convictions. The unit can reopen matters, authorize new forensic testing (including DNA), and recommend vacatur when new evidence undermines prior verdicts.
