Redick Mansion

The Redick Mansion, also known as the Mayne Mansion, is a historic building located in North Omaha, Nebraska. Originally built as a farmhouse in 1875, it was transformed into a grand 20-room mansion by Clifton E. Mayne in the late 19th century. The mansion served as the first home of Omaha University from 1909 to 1917, where it hosted classes for the university's inaugural students. Notable for its five-story tower and elegant architecture, the mansion was eventually sold and disassembled in 1917, with parts relocated to Minnesota. Today, it stands as a significant piece of Omaha's educational and architectural history, attracting interest from tourists and researchers alike.
