White Rock Lake stormwater inflows

White Rock Lake, formed in 1911 by impounding White Rock Creek, receives urban stormwater runoff from surrounding Dallas neighborhoods via storm sewer outfalls and tributary creeks. The lake and surrounding park are monitored by Dallas Park and Recreation and Dallas Water Utilities for water quality related to stormwater inputs. White Rock Lake Park is a focal point for stormwater management and recreational water-quality monitoring in northeast Dallas.
