Globe Ranger Station

The Globe Ranger Station, located just 2 miles south of downtown Globe, Arizona, serves as the principal office for the Globe Ranger District of the Tonto National Forest. This historic site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1993, showcases Spanish style architecture and was constructed in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The station is set on 5 acres and includes three contributing buildings that once provided housing and office space for government operations. Covering approximately 450,000 acres, the Globe Ranger District features diverse vegetation, including desert, chaparral, and pinyon-juniper. Additionally, the station is the base for the Globe Hotshots, a dedicated fire suppression crew, making it a significant location for both historical interest and active forest management.
