Littlefield House

Littlefield House is a historic Victorian-style home located on the University of Texas at Austin campus, built in 1893 for Civil War veteran George Littlefield. A significant benefactor to the university, Littlefield and his wife Alice contributed to various university projects, including the Littlefield Fountain and the Main Building. After Alice's passing in 1935, the house was donated to the university and now serves as a venue for university functions. Notably, the property features a rare Deodar Cedar tree, imported from the Himalayas, which is recognized as one of the largest of its kind in Texas. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers.
