Everett Buildings

The Everett Buildings are a collection of heritage-listed structures located in Albany, Western Australia, at the intersection of Stirling Terrace and Spencer Street. Known for their distinctive asymmetrical facade and rendered brick walls, these two-storey buildings originally functioned as a grocery, hardware store, drapery, tea-rooms, and a private residence. They have a rich history, including a near-disastrous fire in 1938 that was extinguished by local volunteers. In recent years, the buildings have undergone restoration with a heritage grant, and part of the complex now houses Albany Backpackers, adding a modern twist to this historical site. The Everett Buildings are a testament to Albany's architectural heritage and offer a glimpse into the region's past.
