56 Beaver Street

56 Beaver Street, also known as the Delmonico's Building, is a historic structure located in Manhattan's Financial District. Completed in 1891 and designed by architect James Brown Lord, this eight-story building originally housed the famous Delmonico's restaurant. It features a striking facade of orange Roman brick and brownstone, designed in a blend of Richardsonian Romanesque and Renaissance Classicism styles. The building is a designated New York City landmark and part of the Wall Street Historic District. Over the years, it has transitioned from a restaurant to office space and back again, with plans for Delmonico's to reopen in late 2023. Visitors can admire its architectural details, including a portico with Corinthian columns and a unique triangular lot at the intersection of William, South William, and Beaver Streets.
