Austin-Bergstrom International Airport air traffic control tower

The FAA-operated air traffic control tower at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport coordinates arrivals and departures for commercial, cargo, and general aviation serving Austin and the surrounding region. ABIA replaced Bergstrom Air Force Base and opened on May 23, 1999; the control tower has provided continuous ATC services since the airport began operations. The tower is the primary aeronautical surveillance and traffic management facility for the airport's airspace, working with radar and ground-based systems.
