John Herbert Quick House

The John Herbert Quick House, also known as Coolfont Manner House, is a historic mansion located near Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Built in 1913 in the Colonial Revival style, this impressive 2+1⁄2-story home features a distinctive front facade with a pediment and a rounded portico. Originally owned by author John Herbert Quick, the property spans approximately 1200 acres and was transformed into the Coolfont Resort in 1965 by businessman Sam Ashelman. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and continues to be a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike, reflecting the rich history of the region.
