Boston Strangler - Mary Sullivan (1964)

Mary Sullivan, one of the victims attributed to the Boston Strangler, was found murdered in her apartment on November 4, 1964. The case was long linked to a series of murders across Boston in the early 1960s attributed to the so-called Boston Strangler. Albert DeSalvo confessed to many of the killings, but his responsibility for all the Strangler murders remained debated; in 2013 DNA testing linked DeSalvo to Sullivan's murder specifically. The case is frequently cited in discussions of forensic and investigative developments in mid-20th-century Boston.
