Heurich House Museum (Brewer's Castle)
By Seeker
Heurich House was built 1892–1894 for Christian Heurich, a German immigrant and prominent Washington brewer, and remains one of the best-preserved late-19th-century urban mansions in the city. It operates as the Heurich House Museum, open for guided tours that show original furnishings, decorative finishes, and the family’s history in brewing. The house is often cited by locals as a less-touristed architectural and social-history site in Dupont Circle.
