Lassise–Schettini House

The Lassise–Schettini House, also known as La Quinta, is a historic gem located in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. Designed by architect Luis Perocier and completed in 1924, this two-story structure showcases a unique blend of architectural styles, including influences from traditional Gulf Coast plantation houses, Chicago Prairie style, and Moorish-Spanish Revival. It was built for Dr. Enrique Lassise, a beloved local physician, and his wife Matilde Schettini, a schoolteacher. Recognized for its historical significance, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 and the Puerto Rico Register of Historic Sites and Zones in 2000. As one of the few remaining examples of prairie-influenced architecture in Puerto Rico, La Quinta stands as a testament to the island's rich architectural heritage and is a must-visit for tourists and researchers alike.
