Heurich House Museum and Christian Heurich Brewing Company

The Heurich House, now a museum, was built for brewer Christian Heurich in 1892–1894 and preserves materials related to his brewing business. Christian Heurich founded the Christian Heurich Brewing Company, which became one of Washington, D.C.'s largest breweries and operated until 1956. The museum displays original furnishings and artifacts that document late 19th- and early 20th-century brewing and domestic life in the city.
