Fort Worth Panthers/Cats - long-running minor league baseball franchise

The Fort Worth Panthers (later known as the Fort Worth Cats) were a Texas League minor-league baseball franchise with a history dating to the early 20th century and multiple league championships. The club played at LaGrave Field (original site dating to 1926; a rebuilt stadium opened on the site in 2001) and was a central part of Fort Worth's baseball history through much of the 1900s and early 2000s. The team and ballpark hosted numerous notable minor-league players and events linked to the city's sports heritage.
