Lemon Hill

Lemon Hill is a historic Federal-style mansion located in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, built between 1799 and 1800 by merchant Henry Pratt. Named after the citrus fruits he cultivated, the mansion features unique architectural elements such as three stacked oval parlors and a beautifully landscaped garden in the English style. Originally part of Robert Morris's estate, Lemon Hill became a public attraction in the mid-19th century and has served various purposes, including a restaurant. Restored to its original appearance, it now operates as a house museum, offering visitors a glimpse into early American architecture and history, with scenic views of the Schuylkill River. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is managed by the Fairmount Park Conservancy.
