Clift Building

The Clift Building, an 8-story commercial office structure in Salt Lake City, Utah, was designed by architect James L. Chesebro and completed in 1919. Notable for its glazed terracotta facade in the Second Renaissance Revival style, the building originally included a theater accessible from Main Street. It was constructed by Virtue Clift in memory of her husband, Francis D. Clift, a pioneer who contributed to the local economy through various ventures, including a mercantile business and real estate investments.
