John N.M. Brewer House

The John N.M. Brewer House, located on US Route 1 in Robbinston, Maine, is a unique historic residence built in the late 1820s. It stands as the only known amphiprostyle Greek temple house in eastern Maine, featuring impressive Ionic columns on both its front and rear facades. Constructed by local shipbuilder John Nehemiah Marks Brewer, the house reflects the architectural style of its time and has a rich history, including serving as a school after Brewer's death in 1857. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, it offers a glimpse into the region's maritime heritage and architectural diversity.
