Bunker Hill Monument

Bunker Hill Monument commemorates the June 17, 1775 Battle of Bunker Hill, a major early engagement of the American Revolutionary War fought primarily on nearby Breed's Hill. The 221-foot granite obelisk was completed in 1843 and stands in Bunker Hill Monument Park in Charlestown. The site includes a museum and an interior platform reachable by a 294-step climb that offers views of Boston.
