Elitch Gardens (historic amusement site)

Elitch Gardens originally opened in 1890 as Elitch's Zoological Gardens, combining a zoo, theater, and amusement attractions, and is one of the oldest amusement enterprises in the United States. The park moved to its present downtown site in 1995, retaining the Elitch name and continuing as a theme and water park. The Elitch name and site are frequently cited in histories of Denver recreation and entertainment.
