Fiolstræde 7

Fiolstræde 7 is a historic Neoclassical building located in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark, adjacent to Hotel Sankt Petri. This mixed-use structure has been listed as a protected building since 1951. The site has a rich history dating back to the late 17th century, originally comprising two smaller properties that were destroyed in the Copenhagen Fire of 1728. The current building was constructed in 1819 for distiller Henrik Marcussen and has housed notable residents, including theologian Christian Thorning Engelstoft and artist Edvard Lehmann. Visitors can explore the charming pedestrianized street of Fiolstræde, which is known for its vibrant shopping scene and historical significance.
