Old Parliament House, Bangkok

Old Parliament House in Bangkok served as the main venue for Thailand's National Assembly from 1974 until 2018. Located in the Dusit District, it was constructed on royal land allocated by King Bhumibol Adulyadej to accommodate the growing legislative body. The complex features three main buildings: the Parliament House, the Secretariat Building, and the Parliament Club. A notable statue of King Prajadhipok stands at the front, with the Thai Parliament Museum located beneath it. In 2019, the legislature moved to a new building, Sappaya-Sapasathan, and the old site was returned to the Bureau of the Royal Household, marking the end of an era for this significant political landmark.
