Elmonte

Elmonte, also known as Twilford, is a historic house located in Ellicott City, Maryland, built in the Italian villa style around 1858. This 2+1⁄2-story mansion features random ashlar granite and includes a stuccoed carriage house, a two-car garage, a large wooden barn with a slate roof, and a log smokehouse. Constructed by a member of the Dorsey family, Elmonte was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Maryland's architectural history.
