Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park

The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort, constructed by Mormon missionaries in 1855, is the site of the earliest non-indigenous permanent settlement in the Las Vegas Valley. The site later served various military and civilian purposes and is preserved as a state historic park that interprets early settlement and territorial-era history.
