53–55 Beach Street

53–55 Beach Street is a historic seven-story commercial building located in the TriBeCa West Historic District of Manhattan, New York City. Originally commissioned in 1885 by developer Joseph Naylor and designed by architect Oscar S Teale, it showcases late 19th-century warehouse architecture with distinctive round arched openings and segmentally arched windows. The building has a rich history, having served various educational and residential purposes before becoming a prominent warehouse. Notably, it was involved in labor strikes in the early 1900s and has housed several businesses over the decades, including a Montessori school and WeWork.
