Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery

Belle Meade Historic Site centers on an antebellum Greek Revival mansion completed in the mid-19th century and the surrounding plantation property. In the 19th century the estate became prominent for breeding thoroughbred horses; the site now interprets the plantation's history and the history of horse breeding. The property includes the mansion, carriage house, other historic outbuildings, and an on-site winery, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
