El Cortez Hotel and Casino - historic pre-1950 casino

El Cortez opened in 1941 and is one of the oldest continuously operating casino properties in Las Vegas. The building retains mid-century architectural features and has been documented for its historic significance. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to operate as a downtown hotel and casino.
