Carnegie Hall - Andrew Carnegie's Concert Hall

Carnegie Hall was built with funds donated by industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie and opened in 1891 as a public performance venue. Carnegie financed construction and endowed the hall to provide a permanent home for concerts in New York City. Since its opening, the hall has hosted many internationally prominent musicians, orchestras, and events and remains a major classical and popular music venue.
