Hornick Station

The Hornick Depot, a historic building in Hornick, Iowa, was completed in 1887 as a passenger and freight depot for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad. It is one of the best-preserved depots of its kind in Iowa, featuring a two-story frame structure with unique decorative elements. Originally serving as a hub for both freight and passengers, the depot reflects the town's early development alongside the railroad. After passenger service ended in the 1950s, it continued to handle grain until 1980. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the depot has been transformed into a local history museum, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
