Qasr al-'Ashiq

Qasr al-'Ashiq is a historical palace from the Abbasid era, located 16km west of Samarra, Iraq, on the Tigris River's western bank. Commissioned by the 15th Abbasid caliph Al-Mu'tamid between 877 and 882, it showcases the distinctive Abbasid architectural style with its rectangular shape, two floors, and surrounding moat.
