Anchieta Building

The Anchieta Building, located at the intersection of Paulista Avenue, Consolação Street, and Angélica Avenue in São Paulo, is a significant example of Brazilian Modern Architecture designed by the MMM Roberto architecture firm in 1941. Originally built to house industrial workers, it features 60 apartments, 12 duplexes, and a garden, although its use has shifted primarily to residential and commercial purposes. The building is notable for its historical and cultural significance, currently undergoing preservation efforts by local authorities. Additionally, it houses the famous Riviera Bar, a former hub for artists and intellectuals during Brazil's military dictatorship, which has been revitalized in recent years. The Anchieta Building stands as a testament to São Paulo's architectural evolution and cultural history.
