First National Bank of White Bear

The First National Bank of White Bear, built in 1921, is a historic former bank located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Recognized for its architectural significance and role in local commerce, this Neoclassical building features a unique Spanish tile eave and is one of the most sophisticated commercial structures in the area from before the 1940s. Originally established as the White Bear State Bank in 1913, it transitioned to its current form after outgrowing its original site. The bank played a crucial role in the town's evolution from a summer resort to a year-round community, although it closed during the Great Depression. Today, it houses an architectural firm, preserving its historical legacy while contributing to the local economy.
